90 minute timer
Tap the time to change it
This timer is set to 90 minutes and starts with one click or the Space bar. When it reaches zero an alarm rings, and the display counts how long ago the time ran out.
People use a 90 minute timer for a nap that covers one full sleep cycle, a football match, or a long exam.
Press F or the fullscreen button to fill the screen. The screen stays awake while the timer runs, so it reads well on a projector, a TV or a phone propped up in the kitchen.
The countdown is worked out from the clock, not by counting ticks, so it stays exact in a background tab. Reload the page and a running timer carries on where it was.
Questions
How do I set a 90 minute timer?
This page is already set to 90 minutes. Press Start or the Space bar and the countdown begins. The alarm rings when it reaches zero.
Will the alarm ring if the tab is in the background?
Yes. The timer keeps counting in a background tab and plays the alarm when it ends, as long as the tab stays open and your device isn't muted. The tab title also shows the time left.
Does the screen stay on?
While the timer runs, the page asks your browser to keep the screen awake. This works in current Chrome, Edge, Safari and Firefox. In older browsers, your normal screen lock still applies.
Can I go fullscreen on an iPhone?
iPhone Safari doesn't let web pages go fully fullscreen, so the timer fills the browser window instead. For the cleanest view, add the page to your Home Screen and open it from there.
Is it free?
Yes. There's no sign-up, no ads and nothing to install. The timer runs entirely in your browser.
